The art of growing, harvesting and drying, bottling herbs has lost its function in our fast pace lives. When women are blessed with pregnancy and childbirth, the benefits of slowing their lives and themselves down are countless. Not to mention the fact that the foetal neurological development is determined largely by the happiness and comfortableness of the pregnant woman.
The culturing of the herbs that are necessary for peak performance of the pregnant human body is a necessary path of awareness for us and our families. It enables women to slow down and listen to their ever changing bodies. When our children become toddlers, it is a wonderful way to share and communicate together. Little hands come in handy during harvest time. What a better way to hand down the knowledge than to do it together?
One of the first questions a midwife must ask a pregnant woman is; do you use herb teas? If not, it is her mandatory duty to instruct the family how to incorporate herbal teas in their lives. There are too many chemical problems and radio activity in our society that intervenes with our procreation abilities. Wild herbs have been growing on the earth since its beginning and they are still here for us to cultivate and use to attain good health.
The art of using herbs is really in our memory; we just have to tap into it. Having babies is also in our memories……..with herbal knowledge.
